You educated yourself well about the advantages, disadvantages, safety concerns and benefits of online dating. You take the plunge and register on several online dating sites like Parship, and you start emailing and talking with prospective dates. You find one in particular that holds intense interest and compatibility.
Then after months of dating, you find that he’s lied to you on his profile and in real life: He’s not single after all. He’s married. And he’s not only married, he has three kids. You just saw them on the street. What do you do?
Confronting him right then and there and ranting to him may give satisfaction, but it could have negative effects on you. He could have an overwhelming desire to take a little back.
Be safe. Send him an email, explaining that you don’t appreciate his lies, that you know he’s married and that you have no desire to continue any relationship of any sort with him again. Tell him that further communication with him is not welcome. Then stick to it.
If he’s dishonest and cheating on his current wife, even if he does get divorced and marries you, who’s to say he won’t cheat on you, too? You deserve better than that.
