People should not get vouchers for sending their children to private schools. They should send their children to public schools or have the right to home school their children without the government harassing them. The very notion of vouchers, means the government distributing income in yet another way.
Every group who claims they do not use the services of the government cannot get vouchers in return. Elderly people do not use the school system anymore. Should they too get vouchers? keep your children home and educate them instead of watching “American Idol.”
Forget about the money you think you should get back in the form of vouchers. Besides, vouchers by their very definition means that if you get them back, they can only be spent on specific items. Vouchers smell of government intervention and are unnecessary. This would be entirely too confusing to implement and would require an army of more civil servants collecting checks and doing nothing.
People should get used to the idea that not every dollar spent for something they do not want or use should be returned to them. Besides, it is their own fault for constantly asking the government or others to do what they should be doing themselves, educating their own children.
