    Shape and Smooth with Spanx

Spanx is a US company which specialises in body-shaping undergarments, shapewear and bodysuits for women.  Spanx is fantastic for women who wish to enhance their figures and hide any unsightly bumps.  It’s perfect for getting rid of those lumps and bumps and making the wearer look slim and elegant.  Spanx is endorsed by celebrities like Oprah Winfrey and its founder, Sara Blakely won the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2002.

For centuries, women have been wearing corsets and girdles to give them a slim waist and neat figure. Historical films like “Gone with the Wind” convey just how uncomfortable these were, but they did produce good results. Spanx is the modern, comfortable alternative.

It is reported that Sara Blakely got the idea for Spanx from pantyhose.  In hot weather pantyhose can be very uncomfortable, but it does shape your body really well.  Ms Blakely had the idea of cutting the feet out of pantyhose and wearing it with her open-toed shoes and light trousers ….. and so the idea of Spanx was born.  The patent was awarded in 1998.

There is a large range of products all designed to produce a more elegant person.  For a slimmer look around the bum and tum there are shorts, body shapers and body smoothers, all of which smooth out bulging on thighs, bottoms and tummies.  Wear Spanx under that little black dress – and wow, no evidence of fat stomach or visible panty line (vpl).  Spanx also gives brilliant results with business suits – every little unsightly bump is smoothed out.  You will look very svelte around the tummy and bottom areas. You will even look good in tight, skinny jeans.  So whether for business or pleasure, trust Spanx to give you that extra edge.

Although Spanx’s core business is body-shaping undergarments, it has branched out into maternity wear, swimwear and bras which dispense with visible bra-line.
